The UN hearings on anti-Semitism will certainly enflame anti-Semitism—affording Israel the opportunity for propaganda exploitation, and Jew-haters to exploit the backlash.

This is why UN hearings on anti-Semitism are a very, very bad idea. The General Assembly "informal" conference opened Jan.

Did a war surgeon who published an open letter protesting Israel's war crimes in The Lancet promote a David Duke video, as claimed by an Israeli journalist? We dive into the muck...

We've stated repeatedly: Ritual squawking that "anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism" is just that—an empty ritual bereft of meaning—if we don't call out real anti-Semitism.

Two synagogues were attacked in Paris and the rabbi of the Casablanca Jewish community brutally beaten in reprisals for Israel's "Operation Protective Edge."

The Abravanel synagogue in central Paris is under police guard after more than 100 youths tried to storm the building July 13, chanting "Israel murderer!" The incident—near Bastille Place, on the eve of Bastille Day—followed a march protesting the Israeli air-strikes on Gaza.

The rise of far-right "anti-Europe" parties in the Europarliament elections echoes escalating ultra-nationalist and neo-fascist rhetoric on both sides in the Russo-Ukraine conflict.

The May 24 shooting at the Jewish Museum of Belgium in Brussels, that left three dead, is greeted by the usual ridiculous bet-hedging. CNN typically writes: "The circumstances of the shooting have raised suspicions that it may have been an a

Fathi Shihab-Eddim, a senior aide to Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, spews Holocaust-denying malarky—oblivious to how he legitimizes Zionist political logic.

A right-wing "Identity Group" seized a mosque in Poitiers, issuing a "declaration of war" against the "Islamization" of France—weeks after a bomb attack on a kosher shop in Paris.

The interminable divide-and-rule game between Muslims and Jews worldwide goes on, with the latest maddening development in France.

The Judeophobic filth that has appeared on MondoWeiss needs to be called out. But once again—why is it only neocon propagandists who will take it on? When will the anti-fascist and anti-Zionist left step up to the plate?

Here we go again. We ourselves have noted before the insidious mainstreaming of anti-Semitism in "progressive" discourse by the likes of the execrable MondoWeiss blog.

Some anti-Zionists seem to think having Neturei Karta on their side inoculates them against charges of anti-Semitism. Hopefully, after the latest incident at Israel's Holocaust museum, they are disabused of such illusions.

Every other day on my Facebook wall, some earnest anti-Zionist posts a photo like the one above of Neturei Karta in their ultra-orthodox garb wielding anti-Israel placards. The posters think that having these guys with their beards and peyas on their side inoculates them against charges of anti-Semitism.

When "Zionism" is blamed for the ills of the global capitalist system, you know the writer is taking his cue from the Protocols—even if he is ostensibly coming from the "left." Pointing this out is not a defense of Zionism.

We have, of course, repeatedly pointed out that—however much Zionists may propagandistically abuse the charge—anti-Semitism (veiled, barely veiled, or plain old blatant) really is evidenced in much ostensibly "leftist" discourse these days.

Thousands of Holocaust survivors from North Africa remain unrecognized by the State of Israel and are ineligible for compensation. The Jewish Agency delayed their emigration to Israel until after 1953—the cut-off year for Holocaust restitution.

On April 18, Holocaust Remembrance Day, Israel's Public Committee for the Integration of Eastern Jews called attention to the fact that North African Jews who survived the Holocaust remain unrecognized by the State of Israel and are ineligible for compensation.

What the hell are Dennis Bernstein and Michael Lerner doing by embracing an open Jew-hater with a website full of Holocaust revisionism and anti-Semitic tropes? Has the "left" hit bottom yet? Has it completely abandoned progressive values?

Here we go again. "Flashpoints," Dennis Bernstein's longstanding show on Berkeley's "progressive" KPFA Radio on Feb.

There are doubtless many good reasons to oppose Henrique Capriles Radonski, the bourgeois politician who is challenging Hugo Chávez for Venezuela's presidency. His Jewish background is equally assuredly not among them.

It is really, really a drag to have to do this, but we really have no choice.

US ambassador to Belgium Howard Gutman calls out Israeli inflammation of European anti-Semitism—but in terms that smack of denial about the extent and depth of the problem.

A Dec. 3 report on YNet is aghast at the heretical comments by the US ambassador to Belgium, Howard Gutman—without actually bothering to quote them. We are treated only to a paraphrase:

Vandals torched three cars and scrawled hateful graffiti to mark the anniversary of Kristallnacht this year in Brooklyn's heavily Jewish neighborhood of Midwood. City politicians make the requisite condemnations—even as they betray the Palestinians with endless pro-Israel pronouncements. Where is the single-standard anti-racism?

John Mearshiemer, co-author of The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy, provides a jacket blurb for Hitler apologist Gilad Atzmon's new book. Will progressives balk at calling him out for fear of legitimizing bogus charges of anti-Semitism?

The problems with the ritual squawking that "anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism" have rarely been made so clear as in the egregious faux pas just committed by John Mearsheimer, co-author of The Israel Lobby and

US Sen. Patrick Leahy is promoting a bill to suspend Washington's assistance to three elite Israel Defense Forces units, alleging they are involved in human rights violations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Patrick Leahy (D-VT) is promoting a bill to suspend Washington's assistance to three elite Israel Defense Forces units, alleging they are involved in human rights violations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Why are so many right-wing Zionists so clueless? Why does being a friend with them mean you have to think like them? What happened to democracy?

New Jewish Resistance aspires to be a movement, not just a website—uniting all Jews who believe in fighting Jew-hatred in the diaspora and making common cause with the oppressed, not rallying around an illegitimate settler state.

Jews are a multiplicity of ethnicities (Ashkenazi, Mizrahi, Sephardi, etc.) with common bonds of identity and shared histories of persecution. Whether or not you believe that these ethnicities together constitute a nation, Zionism is deeply inimical to Jewish interests and survival.

We just had to call out Cuban elder statesman and global rad-left icon Fidel Castro for his recent embrace of right-wing conspiracy theory (which nearly always has strong undertones, at least, of anti-Semitism). So we are particularly
